Glare or Halo Around Lights?
Blurred vision or glare/halo around lights may be a symptom of a cataract. A cataract is defined as the clouding of the natural crystalline lens in the eye. This clouding interferes with normal vision. There is usually no pain associated with a cataract. The visual changes that occur may include blurry vision, glare, dullness in colors, frequent changes in eyeglass prescriptions and glare/halo around lights. These visual changes usually occur gradually.
The only way to treat a cataract is to remove the natural crystalline lens while implanting an artificial lens to restore clear vision. Dr. Balin performs No Stitch Cataract Surgery offering her patients the latest in lens technology including the multifocal and accomodating lenses.
